Restoration and Conservation of Antique Furniture

The primary emphasis is restoring American or European antique furniture from the 17th, 18th and 19th century. The pieces we restore range from case pieces to small tortoiseshell tea caddies. We use the best materials and methods to insure that each step of the restoration process results in a superior rebirth of your historic piece.

Together with the client, we plan and undertake treatment that ensures the structural integrity of the piece and respects its historic and artistic qualities. We use traditional methods and materials, and, when appropriate, state-of-the-art conservation techniques.

We consult with and advise the client to assist with appropriate conservation choices. Additional services include written and photographic documentation, object surveys and wood and finish analysis.

Highly trained conservators and artisans, specializing in antique furniture with an ethical approach to conservation, carry out all the work.
